Itinerary

Pick up from Nairobi hotel and depart for Masai Mara. A safari to Masai Mara offers outstanding game viewing all year, but the highlight is the Great Migration when masses of herbivores stampede across plains and rivers. More than a million wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, and other plains game move between Masai Mara in Kenya and Serengeti in Tanzania every year, with numerous predators in tow.

Dinner and overnight will be at the Miti mingi eco camp.

A full day of game viewing in Masai Mara lies ahead on day four of our Kenya Lodge Safari. We roam the savannahs in our 4x4 safari vehicle, on early- and mid-morning game drives. Then we head back to the safari lodge for lunch before the grand finale - one last game drive in Kenya's top game park.

At the end of an awe-inspiring day on safari in Masai Mara National Reserve, we sit back and have dinner and a drink at the bar.

Dinner and overnight will be at the Miti mingi eco camp.

Wake up in the magnificent Masai Mara. Begin the day with a fresh coffee and tuck into a scrumptious breakfast at the safari camp. We start the drive to Great Rift Valley passing through beautiful scenery as we drive. In the late afternoon, we arrive at Lake Nakuru Park in time for an evening game drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park was first established as a bird sanctuary before being declared a national park. Lake Nakuru hosts over 400 different bird species, including many water birds. Bird species include the Great White Pelican, African Spoonbill, Yellow-billed Stork, Lesser and Greater Flamingo, and Long-crested Eagle. The Lake Nakuru National Park is known as an important wildlife sanctuary for some of Africa's endangered species, especially black and white rhinos, and Rothschild's giraffes. The game reserve is also home to lions, waterbuck, buffalo, and baboons, which we keep an eye out for on our game drive.

Early morning breakfast leave Nakuru and drive to Amboseli, arrive in time for lunch, have lunch then proceed to afternoon game drive in search of wild animals across the park which gives you the best view of the highest mountain in Africa Mount Kilimanjaro. In the late afternoon head to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Today is set aside for a full day of game viewing in Amboseli National Park. We explore this scenic game reserve on morning and afternoon game drives and have the option of visiting a Maasai village (optional extra).

Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular game parks in Kenya. Amboseli Park covers sprawling grasslands and the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Standing at 5896m above sea level the snow-topped mountain forms the backdrop to game viewing in Amboseli. Amboseli National Park hosts some of Kenya's largest elephant herds and is famous for its big elephant bulls with their impressive tusks. Amboseli is considered one of the top game parks in Africa to get up close to elephants in the wild, as well as offering some of the finest photographic opportunities of wildlife flanked by the scenic Mt Kilimanjaro.

The Game Park also contains huge populations of buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, and various antelope species, such as impala. Amboseli National Park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, and many other species of plains game. The park also boasts an abundance of birds, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, pelicans, African fish eagles, and falcons.

We return to the same camp in Amboseli, for a night under starry skies. Enjoy meals and another overnight stay at the private safari camp, with beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Early morning breakfast and  depart for Tsavo East national pack which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and other wildlife. You will arrive at the camp on time for lunch. The camp offers sweeping views over the plains and a watering hole. Then we set off on our first 4x4 safari drive in search of the wildlife found in Tsavo National Park, one of the biggest game parks in the world.

Back at the safari lodge it's time for dinner and relaxing in the bar with your travel companions. The views reveal Mt Kilimanjaro in the distance and the game watching at the watering hole is excellent. At night you can hear the sounds of wild animals from your bed.

Wake up to views of the African wilderness and enjoy breakfast. You will embark on your final game drive in Tsavo Park. On our morning and afternoon game drives in this vast national park, you can expect to see plenty of animals roaming the arid plains. In the late morning you will start the drive to Mombasa / Diani arriving around lunch time we drop you to your hotel.

Optional activities include walking safaris with a trained naturalist, bush dinners, Mzima Springs visits, sundowners, and tours of the Rhino Sanctuary.

Drop off at your hotel that you have booked in Mombasa or alternatively drive back to Nairobi.
